I have generally seen and heard children making their
parents proud with their accomplishments. But it was a joyful moment for a
daughter to witness the vice versa on 26th January 2013 when MR.
BASAB CHAKRABARTY was one of d few designated persons to receive a letter of invitation
from RAJ BHAVAN,GANGTOK.
The event was made special as MRS. SIKHA CHAKRABARTY, wife of Mr. Basab Chakrabarty who went for a short stay to Gangtok on 23rd January 2013 accompanied him on this special occasion.
The event was attended by the honorable Governor of Sikkim,
the Chief Minister and the respected Guests of Honor. Mr. Basab Chakrabarty was
cordially called on to hoist the national flag and deliver a small speech on
the auspicious occasion alongside the Governor and the Chief Minister. The
proceeding of d day followed with a round table interaction of the designated
guests and d grand food party.
For a girl who belongs to a simple middle class family, seeing her father attaining the post of an officer at an early age based on his own merits is a big thing; but receiving honors from the Governor and the Chief Minister gave her a new reason to be proud of him. Its Grandeur!
And the proud daughter is me and the person who gave me this moment to be proud of is my dad J
because he may not buy me branded stuffs all the time but will always himself be my brand of inspiration and support.
